Fundraising
We are a registered charity managed by a parent committee. To subsidise funding we have to rely on fundraising events throughout the year to keep the pre-school open and to provide fun, educational resources for the children. Fundraising events vary throughout the year but generally include some of the following:

- Biscuit making / cake decorating;
- Tea towels / bags / mugs – featuring a picture from all current children;
- Sponsored Obstacle course – that the children do – though perhaps one year we should get the parents to do it!
- Christmas Raffle;
- Christmas cards – designed of course by the children!
We also have a number of ongoing schemes which you might find of interest:
- Amazon Smile – shop with Amazon Smile and the pre-school gets a portion of the amount spent, at no cost to you!
- Easy2name – for all your name labels and tags. 20% of sales go to the pre-school if you quote 'Newman Pre-School Playgroup BR6' when ordering.
- My Name Tags – please quote school ID: 39243.
- Stamptastic – please quote school ID: BR68PR.
- Busy parent/carer slots – these are ad-hoc extra sessions for your child. Sessions cost £19 (or £17 each when 2 sessions booked at the same time). Please speak to Heather if you are interested so we can check availability.
We are always on the look-out for new (and fun) fundraising ideas so if you have a good idea or fancy getting involved please do let our committee know. We are always happy to receive offers of help!
It goes without saying that we are always grateful for non monetary donations too! Washing up liquid, antibacterial wipes and spray, tissues, paper... if you have anything you think the pre-school could use please do speak to a member of staff!
