Committee

The role of the parent committee is vital to the running of the pre-school to the point it cannot function without it and without them we would not be able to open our doors to you and your children. The committee is involved in managing the pre-school with responsibilities ranging from recruitment, staff contracts and appraisals to advertising, fundraising and ensuring someone is there to make tea and coffee at the AGM. They work tirelessly, most of their efforts behind the scenes and largely not noticed but vital none the less. They meet once a term to discuss any issues that need addressing and organise the fundraising for that period.

As children move on to primary school each year positions become available so we are always on the lookout for new joiners. We have specific roles as detailed below and more general roles. The specific roles do require some organisation and a greater commitment requiring time at home fulfilling any necessary paperwork and all manner of other ad-hoc jobs. Vacancies for specific roles will be advertised here and on the school notice board. We are required to have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 12 members including a Chairperson, a Treasurer and a Secretary.

Being part of the committee is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn more about the pre-school and is definitely fun and rewarding! Please do speak to Lori if you would like to join.

If you do not wish to join the committee but have an idea for a fundraising event or would be willing to help out on the odd occasion, then please let us know. We will gratefully accept all offers of help!
